On August 23, 2024, the ARQ Wealth Advisors team came together at Mavrix Sports Bar & Arcade, nestled in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, for their much-anticipated Annual Bowling for Charity Event. This yearly gathering, held at The Pavilions at Talking Stick Shopping Center, is more than just a fun night out—it’s a powerful demonstration of ARQ Wealth’s commitment to supporting the local community and making a difference in the fight against cancer.
The annual event began in 2014 when a respected ARQ Wealth client was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. This diagnosis sparked the ARQ Wealth team’s profound sense of urgency to contribute to the cause. Since then, the event has become a cherished tradition, raising funds for the American Cancer Society each year.
“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer,” said Melissa Siegel, the HR & IT Project Manager. “We’ve had clients affected, lost clients to cancer, and among the team, we’ve had personal family members affected. It’s near and dear to our hearts. Bowling and getting together in a casual environment is a fun way to raise money.”
The event was not only about raising funds but also about fostering camaraderie and healthy competition. ARQ Wealth handed out several awards at the end of the night, including the High Roller award for the bowler with the highest score, the Top Team award for the team with the best performance, and the Slow Bowler award for the bowler with the lowest score. Each year, the High Roller has the honor of signing a special bowling pin, which is proudly displayed in the ARQ office and is a symbol of both achievement and community spirit.
This year, ARQ Wealth donated $1,360 to the American Cancer Society, a figure calculated based on the evening’s bowling scores. Each year, ARQ Wealth increases the per-pin donation amount, reflecting its growing commitment to making a meaningful impact.
