Jay was introduced to the financial services industry by his father, who was a Registered Investment Advisor. Prior to becoming an advisor, Jay was the #1 ranked wholesaler for a $1billion+ brokerage firm in the independent advisor space. He specialized in developing personalized income, retirement, and estate planning solutions for the top 1% of advisors in the industry and their high net worth clients. When Jay’s father passed away, he was integral in helping transition his father’s clients, most notably his mother. Through this process, he learned the true difference between the terms “fiduciary” and “broker”. It gave Jay a lot of pride to know that his father took his role as a fiduciary very seriously. This experience compelled Jay to walk away from the brokerage industry and become an Investment Advisor with the fiduciary standard.
Jay is a financial educator and teaches classes at local colleges on retirement and estate planning, social security maximization, and income planning. He has been a featured financial contributor for ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, and CNN news.
